Visit of the Head of Kherson Regional Council

On December 19, Oleksandr Samoilenko, Head of the Kherson Regional Council, visited the Agency.

They discussed the state of affairs in the Kherson region, which is not indifferent to us, in particular the development of international cooperation, the implementation of recovery projects with the participation of foreign partners/donors, exchanged experiences, and agreed to establish more systematic contact.

Serhiy Kononenko, Director of the Agency, noted the proactive work of the Regional Development Agency “Office of European Integration” in Kherson region, with whose representatives we have established fruitful and effective communication and partnership.

Separately, we discussed the issue of supporting Kherson businesses that have remained in Kherson or are looking for a place to restore and relocate.

Given that Kherson entrepreneurship was mostly focused on agriculture and agricultural processing, it was agreed that Odesa Oblast could be a good alternative for farmers who want to continue working in this sector in the current environment.

The team of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region expressed their full support and interest in assisting Kherson entrepreneurs in starting a new business or relocating an existing one to Odesa, as well as attracting alternative financial instruments for its development and strengthening.
