Sport & Education project launches in Odesa region

The Agency has made the first important step towards the implementation of the pilot launch of the all-Ukrainian project “Sport & Education” in Odesa region. At the meeting of partners, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region and the Only The Strong Charitable Foundation, which was the official start of cooperation.

The team of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region, including Director Serhii Kononenko and Head of the Office for Work with Territorial Communities Olena Ivanova.

Representatives of the Only The Strong Charitable Foundation: Dmytro Zaporozhenko, President of the Foundation and Vice President of the ACFU – Association of Corporate Football of Ukraine, and Nadiya Hnatyuk, Vice President of the Foundation.

The meeting not only signed a Memorandum, but also discussed a roadmap for the implementation of the project in the region, aimed at creating conditions for the development of sports and education in the communities of the region.

The Sport&Education project aims to provide comprehensive youth development, including

  • arrangement of sports infrastructure;
  • teaching financial literacy, chess, and foreign languages;
  • conducting dance classes, psychological rehabilitation, and other educational initiatives.

The successful experience of implementing the project in Zakarpattia and Rivne regions has shown its effectiveness. Odesa region will be the first region where the model will be scaled up to most territorial communities.

The Agency will facilitate the implementation of this project as an important tool for engaging young people in active life, developing the region, and shaping a healthy future.
