The Agency joined the interregional stakeholder workshop of the Safe Skills project

On March 25 , the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region took part in an online interregional stakeholder workshop as part of the Safe Skills project aimed at sharing experience and best practices in the field of security.

The meeting brought together partners from Ukraine, Poland, Finland, Spain, and France. Participants presented their organizations, policies and tools, as well as the reasons for participating in the project.

The workshop was opened by Pilar de la Torre, a representative of the European Forum for Urban Security (EFUS). She also presented the results of the State of Play analysis on the main security challenges and potential areas of interregional cooperation.

Representatives of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region outlined their areas of work, in particular in the field of security and cybersecurity. The Agency’s stakeholders, the Odesa State University of Internal Affairs, presented a cybersecurity laboratory.

Key highlights of the meeting

During the workshop, the participants discussed

  • regional security policies and practices
  • development of professional skills in the field of prevention and cybersecurity
  • the need to create training programs for professionals
  • integration of social cohesion into security policies

The need to adapt educational programs to modern challenges, including cyber threats, and to formalize professions in the field of security and mediation was also noted.

Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region continues to develop international cooperation and participate in initiatives aimed at strengthening security and developing professional competencies in the region.
