Creating the future together: results of the work of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region in 2023

2023 was a year of active work and cooperation for the benefit of the region for the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region. Thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we were able to continue working on planning for the recovery and development of the Odesa Oblast in the post-war period.

During the year, the Agency gathered a coalition of international partners and experts, as well as key domestic stakeholders, to develop the Recovery and Development Strategy for the region. This process was supported by the Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE project, the E-Governance for Accountability and Participation (EGAP) program, the Eastern Europe Foundation, CIVITTA, the USAID HOVERLA project, and the NGO “Recovery and Development Agency” with the support of the USAID/ENGAGE activity.

The Agency worked with local communities in Odesa Oblast to address economic, social and humanitarian needs, developing strategies, programs, investment passports and industrial park concepts. We actively supported local entrepreneurs, helped them participate in grant programs, enter new markets and build communication chains.

During 2023, as representatives of the Regional Office for International Cooperation, we actively promoted Odesa region on international and national platforms, calling for cooperation with new partners and contributing to the development of the region.

We closely cooperated with the academic community of Odesa region’s universities, with whom we created a common platform for participation in the development of the Regional Development Strategy.

Key performance indicators for 2023:

As part of the work on the Strategy for Comprehensive Post-War Recovery of the region, a series of forums “Restoring Odesa Region” were held in key areas of regional development with financial support from USAID HOVERLA.

the year 2024 begins with faith in Victory, stability and peace. The Agency has already planned many important projects that, with the support of our partners and the patronage of the Odesa Oblast State Administration and the Oblast Council, will be successfully implemented for the benefit of Odesa Oblast.
