Odessa Export Forum: Challenges and Solutions
On 1 December, the Odesa Export Forum was held in Odesa. The event was organized by the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group and the Regional Office for International Cooperation in Odesa Region. The event partner was the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Ukraine.
The event brought together more than 100 participants, including representatives of businesses, logistics companies, state and local authorities, associations and NGOs.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks by: Oleksii Dmytrenko, Acting Director of the Department of Economic Policy and Strategic Planning of the Odesa Regional State Administration; Veronika Kovalevych, Head of the Odesa Regional Office of UKRSIBBANK; Serhii Kononenko, Director of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region.
The purpose of the event was to discuss the challenges faced by exporters in the Odesa region.
Focus topics:
- Commentary on the Incoterms 2020 rules. Logistics and foreign economic contracts. Three-year practice of application, advice from the ICC.
- Nazovni platform. Prospects and opportunities.
- Currency supervision. Opportunities and protection measures.
- Challenges and work of exporters. The logistics component.
The event was closed with a presentation and tasting of Shabo products.
