Meeting with the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine at the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region
Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach met with representatives of the Odesa Regional State Administration, international passenger and cargo carriers, and bus station management at the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region.
The meeting focused on the extension of the Agreement on Liberalization of Freight Transportation between Ukraine and the EU. Sergiy Derkach provided an update on the status of negotiations with the European Commission and the key provisions that Ukraine is defending.
One of the main issues was the discussion of the reform of international bus transportation, in particular, the functioning of the e-queue system for buses, the development of checkpoints, the portal of legal routes, and the online cabinet for opening new routes.
The issue of reserving employees of transportation companies has become particularly important due to changes to the law on mobilization. The Ministry supports the need to book drivers of both freight and passenger vehicles, as this is critical to ensuring logistics and communication.
Timely resolution of logistics issues is key to the successful recovery and development of Ukraine.
