Inter-municipal partnership as a driver of community development
Recently, as part of the Swiss-Ukrainian UCORD project, the Regional Development Agency of Sumy Oblast and the Regional Development Agency of Khmelnytskyi Oblast organized a study tour of the office of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region. One of the stages of this visit was a meeting in the Tairovska Hromada, which is actively expanding the horizons of cooperation.
The Tairovska community became a platform for discussing inter-municipal partnership with communities in Khmelnytskyi and Sumy regions. The meeting participants focused on the exchange of experience, implementation of grant initiatives and cooperation within the framework of the Presidential Program “Side by Side”. This initiative has become a symbol of solidarity among Ukrainian communities in the difficult times of war, helping to rebuild the affected areas, support veterans and internally displaced persons, and promote social cohesion.
Why is it important?
- Sharing experience – best management practices become the basis for effective reforms at the local level.
- Support and mutual assistance – communities join forces for reconstruction and economic development.
- Participation in international programs – attracting funding from the EU and international funds opens up new opportunities.
- Social cohesion – interregional partnerships form a united, sustainable Ukraine.
The Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region receives institutional support from the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Cohesion and Regional Development of Ukraine”, the UCORD Project, which is implemented with the support of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, by NIRAS Sweden AB.
