Second International Bessarabian Economic Forum

on May 24 , the team of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region took part in a large-scale economic forum that brought together more than 300 participants from 35 communities of Odesa and Kyiv regions. Among those present were representatives of business, government, diplomatic missions and international organizations.

The forum discussed the most pressing areas for regional development: agriculture, tourism, energy, infrastructure, logistics, IT, industry, industrial parks, social projects, as well as international and state business support programs.

The agency held a workshop on “Grant Programs for SMEs: Opportunities and Practical Advice” specifically targeting entrepreneurs from the Bolhrad district, primarily craft businesses. Owners of local industries, small workshops and gastronomic brands noted that they had a limited understanding of financial instruments for development.

We helped them:

  • understand what a grant, a project, and a grant project are
  • understand which areas are most often supported
  • analyze examples of business plans, create a basic application structure
  • learn where to look for grant opportunities
  • avoid common mistakes of applicants
  • get inspired by the cases of Ukrainian businesses that have received support

Small business development is one of the Agency’s priorities. After all, the craft business is not only about the economy, but also about authenticity, added value and new jobs in communities.

We thank the Bolgrad City Council for the invitation and trust in our expertise.
