Two-day training “Craft workshop of Odesa region”

On September 10-11, 2025, a two-day short-term training “Craft Workshop of Odesa Region” was held in Odesa to develop the entrepreneurial skills of craft business representatives.

The training was attended by 30 craft business representatives from different territorial communities of Odesa Oblast – owners of cheese dairies, family farms and households, apiaries, oil mills, bakeries and confectioneries, winemakers, doll, toy, porcelain, and other young brands in the region.

For two days, trainers in business development, strategy, marketing and access to financial instruments, and integration into the local tourism ecosystem taught the craftsmen how to improve their business strategies, improve product quality and work more effectively in the market, and what promotion methods to use to strengthen brand competitiveness.

All participants were given a homework assignment to prepare presentations of their business – Pitch-deck “From Craft to Brand”. The best presentations will receive:

  • a personalized package of marketing services;
  • personalized support for submitting a grant application to develop their own business;
  • promotion of their brand through local events in the Odesa region;
  • mentoring on leadership in inclusive business and support for vulnerable groups.

The Odesa Craft Workshop training was organized by the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region as part of the project “Craft Potential of Odesa Region: A Path to Growth” with the assistance of the UNDP Ukraine Development Programme and financial support from the Government of Japan under the “Transformative Recovery for Human Security in Ukraine” initiative.
