XV European Economic Forum “Łódź–2022”

As part of the XV European Economic Forum “Łódź–2022”, representatives of the Regional Development Agency of the Odesa Region held a meeting with the Vice-Marshal of the Łódź Voivodeship, Piotr Adamczyk.

The Deputy Director of the Agency for Regional Development of the Odesa Region, Tetyana Berlym, and the Head of the Community Affairs Department, Olena Ivanova, discussed with Mr. Adamchik the prospects for the restoration and development of the Odesa Region, the interaction of enterprises in our regions, the possibility of business relocation and support for new projects.

Thus, issues of implementation of alternative energy and processing projects were discussed, namely, obtaining equipment for launching a pellet plant of one territorial community in Odesa region.

“In Łódź, they reached an agreement on permanent expert consultations on decentralization issues, and also established interaction with the heads of local self-government of the Łódź Voivodeship, and enlisted their support in strategic planning. It is important for us to develop relations with the international community in all spheres, to create conditions for the conduct and development of business and innovation in accordance with the requirements of European standards,” emphasized Tetiana Berlym.

The next task of the Odesa Oblast Regional Development Authority is to analyze which of the communities of the Odesa region are similar to the communities of the Lodz Voivodeship in order to start the process of signing twinning agreements and implementing joint programs.

Practical areas of assistance that the Lodz Voivodeship can provide to the Odesa region and local self-government were also discussed, namely: support for children and the educational process, provision of mobile bakeries and generators, provision of other equipment that will help Ukrainians to survive long power outages.

“In Łódź we met understanding and a desire to cooperate with the Odesa region.

We are currently preparing an official letter with the needs of communities for this time. Thank you for your sincere interest in the problems of Ukrainian society,” noted Olena Ivanova.
