Conference of teachers of the Krasnosilska community in the format of TEDx Teachers

The August conference of teachers in the Krasnosilska community in the TEDx Teachers format has become a real center of new ideas and innovations in education.

This year, special emphasis was placed on the topic of grant opportunities for teachers. This is where the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region played a key role.

Ivanna Laskuriychuk, Head of the Grants Office, and Liudmyla Popova, Consultant of the Grants Office, prepared and conducted a large-scale practical training for more than 100 community educators: teachers, educators, and heads of educational institutions. The topic was “Grant Programs in Education”.

Participants had a unique opportunity to dive into a detailed analysis of grant activities in the format of structured blocks:

• A grant is not easy, but possible: stereotypes and fears about the complexity of grant applications were broken.
• Grant programs in the field of education: an overview of current international and national programs that are already open to teachers.
• How to find your grant: search algorithms, resources, and platforms that allow every teacher to start their own grant story.
• Components of a successful grant project: from formulating an idea to justifying a budget and communicating with donors.
• Specific results and achievements: examples of implemented educational grants that have changed the lives of schools and communities.
• Questions and answers: a lively discussion during which teachers received personalized advice for their future projects.

We showed that a grant is not something distant or unattainable. It is a real tool that can help a school get new equipment, open modern educational spaces, support student initiatives, or develop the scientific potential of young people.

The Agency’s participation in this conference is another proof that we not only advise communities and educators, but also form a new culture of working with grants, where every teacher can become the author of an idea, and every idea can be turned into a real project.
