A new step towards a safe future for Odesa region

In a world where challenges are becoming increasingly complex and security is one of the key values, it is important not only to respond to threats but also to be proactive. The signing of the partnership agreement within the framework of the international SafeSkills project, implemented under the Interreg Europe program, is a balanced strategic decision that is the result of the targeted and persistent work of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region.

This important step was preceded by a meeting of the Agency’s Supervisory Board, where all aspects of the project were discussed in detail: its importance for the region, potential impact on improving security, and long-term prospects. Only after careful analysis and approval was it decided to sign the agreement.

The very next day, Serhii Kononenko, Director of the Agency, officially signed the agreement, opening up opportunities for creating a modern training platform for specialists who will help make Odesa region safer, more resilient, and more secure in the face of modern challenges.

What does this mean for Odesa region?

  • Access to the best European practices in the field of security.
  • Investments in human capital – training professionals who will ensure the protection of communities and businesses.
  • Expansion of international cooperation, exchange of experience and implementation of effective European solutions in Odesa region.

When we talk about security, we are talking about business stability, peace in every home and confidence in the future.

This is another thoughtful step towards the sustainable development of Odesa region. We are acting and already see concrete results.

Together with our partners from Finland, Poland, France and Spain, we are opening up new opportunities for the development of Odesa region. After all, a strong region is one where people feel secure, believe in themselves and boldly build their lives on their own land.
