How Exports Are Growing in the Odesa Region: A Business Survey Has Begun in the Region
A study of business needs in the export sector has begun in the Odesa region as part of the “Export Connect: Regional Support System for Exporters,” implemented by the Swiss-Ukrainian UCORD project in cooperation with the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development.
The study will help better understand the current needs of companies, identify key barriers to export development, and develop more practical tools to support businesses in the region.
The Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region, the Diya.Business entrepreneur support center in Odesa, the European Business Association, the Odesa City Council, and the Association of Employers’ Organizations have joined the survey effort.
The Odesa region plays a vital role in the development of Ukraine’s international trade and export potential. That is why it is particularly important today to strengthen the regional business support system, one that takes into account the real needs of companies and the challenges they face when operating in foreign markets.
The study aims to examine:
- the challenges companies face when entering international markets;
- business needs for training, consulting support, and research on foreign markets;
- the demand for support in the areas of international certification, partner search, and participation in international trade shows;
- the development of cooperation between businesses, regional institutions, and business support organizations.
The findings will serve as the basis for the further development of the export support system in the region. Specifically, this involves creating new educational opportunities for entrepreneurs, establishing a regional Catalog of Exporters, and developing more practical tools to support small and medium-sized businesses.
The survey is open to current exporters as well as businesses that are just considering entering foreign markets or planning to resume export activities.
The joint efforts of regional institutions, business associations, and entrepreneurship support organizations make it possible to create a more coordinated export support system that takes into account the region’s specific characteristics and the current needs of businesses in the Odesa region.
The deadline for completing the survey is June 29, 2026. You can fill out the form by following this link.
