5th Foreign Investment Congress 2026
On May 28, Serhiy Kononenko, Director of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region, participated in the 5th Foreign Investment Congress’26—one of the leading national forums for discussing issues related to attracting investment, business development, post-war recovery, and the formation of Ukraine’s new economic architecture.
Speaking as a panelist in the discussion “Doing Business in Ukraine: From Reforms to Results,” Serhiy Kononenko shared the Odesa Region’s experience in developing investment projects and business support tools at the regional level.
Particular attention was paid to the development of regional investor support ecosystems, the preparation of high-quality investment projects, the formation of community investment portfolios, and the creation of conditions to attract private capital to strategic sectors of the economy.
Today, competition for investment takes place not only between countries but also between regions. That is why fostering a favorable investment climate, developing human capital, modernizing infrastructure, and ensuring effective collaboration among all stakeholders in regional development are becoming decisive factors for future economic growth.

Participation in such events allows us not only to showcase the potential of the Odesa region but also to contribute to the development of new approaches and solutions necessary for attracting investment, creating jobs, and ensuring the sustainable development of Ukraine’s regions.
The Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region continues its systematic work to attract investment, develop investment projects, and create new opportunities for businesses and communities in the region. Our mission is not only to showcase the Odesa region’s potential at national and international forums but also to create the necessary conditions for project implementation, job creation, infrastructure modernization, and the region’s sustainable economic growth.
