REALIVE MED: A new rehabilitation center has opened in Chornomorsk
On July 10, the state-of-the-art REALIVE MED rehabilitation center officially opened in Chornomorsk. This is a project that the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region supported from concept to completion, combining corporate social responsibility, government support, and effective partnerships among various institutions toward a single goal: to create a modern facility in the Odesa region for high-quality rehabilitation services.
The Agency’s Role in Implementing the Project
From the moment the idea was conceived, the Agency’s team worked to make the project a reality:
- coordinating collaboration between businesses, state authorities, and local governments;
- engaged key stakeholders and partners;
- helped establish communication between all participants in the process;
- explored opportunities to secure grant funding and international support;
- supported the project at various stages of its implementation, helping to overcome organizational challenges.

Remarks from the Opening Ceremony Participants
During the opening ceremony, Serhiy Kononenko, Director of the Regional Development Agency of Odesa Region, emphasized:
“For us, this center is an example of how investments can benefit people even in the most difficult times. We will continue to support the project in developing international partnerships, attracting donor support, and identifying new opportunities for scaling up. It is precisely such initiatives that shape the region’s modern economy.”
The Agency’s Ambassador, Alexander Roitburg, added:
“The opening of REALIVE MED is our defiance against the war, bureaucracy, and skeptics who said now is not the time to invest. This center is the result of the tireless work of a large team that believed in the idea from the very first moment, when there was nothing on paper but blueprints. Building facilities of this scale in Chornomorsk right now is our real defense of the Odesa region’s economic front. We have proven that Odesa’s capital works for the benefit of the people. But we strive for more and operate according to the standards of a progressive corporation. We don’t wait for change—we create it with our own hands!”
The Project’s Significance for the Region
REALIVE MED is much more than just a new medical facility. It means new jobs, investment in the region, modern rehabilitation technologies, the development of social infrastructure, and entirely new opportunities for veterans, military personnel, civilians, and people recovering from injuries and serious illnesses.
It is particularly important that the project does not rest on its laurels. The center’s team is already working on opening a hospice ward, expanding medical services, and creating a modern living space for patients’ families.
