Orlivka – Isakcha ferry complex
A unique, modern ferry complex in the village of Orlivka, Reni district, Odesa region, with an international border crossing point for ferry, passenger, and cargo traffic between Orlivka (Ukraine) and Isaccea (Romania).
The Orlivka – Isaccea crossing provides a direct and shortest route from Ukraine to Southern Europe and Turkey. The distance from the Orlivka ferry complex to the Isaccea terminal in Romania is 900 meters, and the crossing time is 7-8 minutes. Thanks to the ferry, the distance (between the two countries) has been reduced by 200 km, and the time for cargo clearance has been reduced by 10-12 hours.
A multifunctional, two-level berth for side-loading river ferries was built on the territory of the complex. The capacity of the ferries involved in the line is up to 30 cars and 6 trucks at a time, and this berth can receive a ferry every 15 minutes (5 minutes for unloading and 10 minutes for loading the ferry). Accordingly, the ferry can handle 1000 to 1200 vehicles in 10 hours.
